Some Days
by Stan Galloway
Some days
I want to
close the door
curl up in my chair
and cry.
But I have expectations to fulfill.
Some days
I want to
touch a woman’s breast
nuzzle softly at a nipple
and sense acceptance.
But I have had to put away childish things.
Some days
I want to
be strong
not care if others slight me
and carry on as if the barbs of others didn’t matter.
But I have emotions underneath.
Some days
I want to
be able
to say
what I feel.
