~black rose
by Katherine Wyatt
in your thunder you roll
a cloud filled with tears of sorrow
calling my name from those akashic records
where we tread in sacred footprints
across Indigo beaches
you painted lightening on your face
in silence as the sound of one hand clapping
frightens you to your core
reaching through space and time continuums
the darkelight chasing you
along the razor’s edge
you run from those whose eyes have no veils
as they see you..as I see you
you paint your face with colours
to hide the bleeding essence
I cover the wounds with bandages
a river of tears crashing into the secret winds
winter is chasing you in its bitterness
the Mexican blanket in crimson and blue
cannot keep out the cold
all that kept you warm
you stripped away as you scattered choices
across the earth hastily
now the cold sets in and your voice echoes
my sacred epithet through the darklight
red rain flowing through the etchings
you carved upon the unconditional
it echoes back to you…
as the tears rip your flesh
a hush falls upon those who walk backwards
their child is lost again
thrashing in the confines perplexity
ancient ones weep
…as the black rose withers in the season
I weep with them
