your mouth, perhaps, was the thing
that sealed the deal.
the first time i saw you speak,
i wanted to be in it.
all of it:
i wanted to be under your tongue.
i wanted to swing from your uvula.
i wanted to slip myself inside
all of your sentences,
though they were so few and short.
when you spoke, i felt that you were
keeping hidden treasures between your words,
and i wanted them all for myself.
little did i know.
